If you’re considering a year-long road trip across Australia (like these awesome family bloggers), or just flying across Oz to visit family, you might want to consider domestic travel insurance.
While Medicare offers medical coverage for Australian residents, domestic travel insurance can cover you for rental car excess insurance, cancelled flight costs or cancelled hotel reservations, theft or loss of luggage and personal items, lost deposits and more.
Tip: Domestic Australian travel insurance plans typically don’t offer any medical travel insurance.
